VOTE NO on ELIGIBILITY TO VOTE ballot question

We encourage Rock County residents to “Vote No” on this question.

This referendum has the potential to suppress voting rights of legal citizens, as well as create confusion during elections. Federal law already prohibits non-citizens from voting. For further information regarding this question, we encourage you to visit the WI League of Women Voters.

Referendum Question:

“Eligibility to vote. Shall section 1 of article III of the constitution, which deals with suffrage, be amended to provide that Every only a United States citizen age 18 or older who resides in an election district may vote in an election for national, state, or local office or at a statewide or local referendum?”

MAKE A VOTING PLAN: FIND YOUR BALLOT AND POLL LOCATION

People sometimes get sick or have their work schedules change or have child care fall through. That’s why we suggest voters use the opportunities to vote absentee or use early in-person voting.

Good information on how to vote absentee and where and when to vote in person before November 5 are at MyVote Wisconsin.
